Dr. Lee Morris was raised in Florence, Alabama where he graduated from Bradshaw High School. He then received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of North Alabama. While at UNA, Dr. Morris played football for the 1993 and 1994 National Championship teams. Dr. Morris then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where he received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. He then moved back to Florence where he practiced general dentistry for four years. It was at this point he decided to continue his education by pursuing a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Dr. Morris then moved to Kansas City where he completed a six year program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. It was also during this time that Dr. Morris received his Doctorate of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Dr. Morris has moved back to his home in Florence, Alabama to pursue a career in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery serving the people of the Tennessee Valley.
During his training, Dr. Morris has had the opportunity and privilege of treating advanced surgical cases, which have included facial trauma, craniofacial deformities, and maxillofacial pathology. Dr. Morris has spent a considerable amount of time training in anesthesia, trauma surgery, surgical intensive care, cosmetic surgery, orthognathic surgery, TMJ treatment and surgery, dentoalveolar surgery, advanced bone grafting, and dental implants.
Dr. Morris is a member of numerous organizations including: American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Alabama Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Dental Association, Alabama Dental Association, American Medical Association, Medical Association of Alabama, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, Midwest Dental Society, and the Mosby Graduate Society.
Dr. Morris is married to the former Allison Sneed of Florence. They have three children: Daniel, Landon, and McKinley. When not spending time with his family, Dr. Morris enjoys running, swimming, cycling, and golfing.
